How to Continue Playing Nba2k18 Career

play my career (but don't do it, cause you won't be able to get VCs), play the gm, season, blacktop, normal game

controller isn't being detected ):

The only 2k that i have currently and play is 2k15.I dont buy the latest and greatist 2k every year. However,i'm looking to upgrade to 2k18 this year.

What are VC's?

it's like coins that you earn throught my career and you use them to get your player better and to buy some additional stuff for him (shoes, sleeves, shirts etc). you can also buy different packs for myteam

VC is just micro transactions another way to get more money out of us.

Offline mode will be similar to the other NBA 2K's. If you play mycareer you will get skill points instead of VC (virtual coins) to improve your player stats. However you will not be able to purchase outfits and cosmetic items etc. because you need to be online and spend VC for that. You earn VC while you are online for pretty much anything and in any game mode. Being online to earn VC is the best but if you really have no permanent internet connection for whatever reason then offline is fine as well, as long as you don't care about multiplayer or buying cosmetic gear.

You can. You earn VC everytime you finish a game in any mode, maybe except MyTeam.

Also, playing offline MyCareer in 2k17 gives you an offline currency(which I forgot) BUT I have no idea if 2k18 will have that.

Yeah but its not much if you play a game lets say in my league you get like 800 to 1000 VC but a plain white T is like 800 VC so its pennys on a dollar. Plus you have to buy everything this year. Haircuts, Facial hair, clothes, shoes, accessories, every single animation in the game, jewelry, Oh and you still have to upgrade your player. Without buying VC you will be in your 2nd or 3rd season before you have enough VC to max out your player.

You can get VC by playing, I have never spent a penny on VC personally and always get my player to 90-95.

Is the computation(total VC based on stats and achievements done in a game) the same with 2k17? If it is, I don't mind grinding it because that was what I did until my player reached 90 early on his 2nd season.

Yup, I hit like 93 after the playoffs of year 1, but I did play with somewhat long quarters. Didn't spend a penny on VC, just played.

Wait is that true? I mean when you create a player for mycareer you only have 1 haircut and no facial hair? I refuse to believe that this is true. Surely when creating a player you don't have to pay for every single haircut or is it just some special vanity haircuts which cost VC?
